Buckley does well to keep the ball in, but Limerick have it back. They work it down to Shane O’Brien who controls the ball brilliantly before applying the finish.

33 mins: Cork 1-11 Limerick 1-7

O’Neill goes down and needs treatment straight away, but it looks like he’s ok to continue.

32 mins: Cork 1-11 Limerick 1-7

Cathal O’Neill works his way out of traffic before slashing the ball over and that’s two in-a-row for Limerick to leave four between the sides.

31 mins: Cork 1-11 Limerick 1-6

O’Connor with a free from a tricky angle after a foul on Gillane. Limerick needed that.

Buckley brings his first-half tally up to two points as Gillane gets muscled off the ball by Seán O’Donoghue.

26 mins: Cork 1-8 Limerick 1-5

NICKIE QUAID SAVE!

Brilliant reflexes from the Limerick goalkeeper to keep out Diarmuid Healy’s powerful shot.

Mahony ensures they get something from the attack by converting the ’65.

23 mins: Cork 1-7 Limerick 1-5

Nash gets forward and taps the ball over. Cork take a short puckout which almost ends in disaster as a back pass to Collins almost goes over his head.

He manages to control the ball though, and wins a free out.

22 mins: Cork 1-7 Limerick 1-4

Byrnes stands over a long range free at the sideline but it’s just short and Cork get the clearance away. There were some claims that that free should have been a penalty for a foul on Shane O’Brien.

The ball comes up to Connolly at the other end who wins a ’65 as Barry Nash takes the last touch.

O’Mahony has no trouble with the shot and there’s three between them now.

19 mins: Cork 1-6 Limerick 1-4

William Buckley finds his range to keep Cork in front before a nervy moment at the other end when a ball is sent through to an unmarked Gillane, but it rolls away and over the end line.

17 mins: Cork 1-5 Limerick 1-4

What a response from Limerick as Hegarty fields a Diarmaid Byrnes free that dropped short and puts the ball in the net.

William Buckley then points for Cork before Cian Lynch replies instantly.

Another free for Cork, and another point for O’Mahony as Gearóid Hegarty gets a yellow card.

12 mins: Cork 1-3 Limerick 0-2

That’s the first major of the day and it goes to Cork as Coleman makes no mistake from the penalty spot. Brian Hayes won the penalty after he was hauled down by Kyle Hayes.

Aidan O’Connor misses another free for Limerick before Tim O’Mahony puts over ’65 to extend Cork’s advantage.

GOAL! Cork 1-2 Limerick 0-2 (Mark Coleman ’8)

CORK PENALTY!

6 mins: Cork 0-2 Limerick 0-2

Aidan O’Connor converts the ’65 and Cork quickly find the equaliser as Brian Hayes drills a shot over the bar that really should have been a goal.

O’Connor then has a chance to put Limerick ahead from a free, but he puts it wide.

4 mins: Cork 0-1 Limerick 0-1

Diarmuid Healy levels it up before Limerick create the first goal chance. Gillane peels away and pops the ball to Cathal O’Neill but his effort is saved by Patrick Collins and it’s a Limerick ’65.

2 mins: Cork 0-0 Limerick 0-1

Dan Morrissey wins a free out for Cork after winning his first tussle with Alan Connolly. Will O’Donoghue sends it down to Peter Casey who swings the ball over for the first point of the game.

Limerick lead.

Cork have a sideline to ease themselves into the contest as Mark Coleman stand cuts it into the middle.

Limerick win it back and Peter Casey sends in the delivery which eventually comes to Aaron Gillane, but he sends it wide.

Throw-In! Cork v Limerick

The anthem has been sung, and it’s time to get underway!

And now it’s time to observe a minute’s silence for Cork GAA great Denis Coughlan, who passed away this week.

The rain is starting to fall now during the pre-match parade. We’re just minutes away now.

The scenes before throw-in at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. It looks like the rain is threatening.
